Fiz and Tyrone’s wedding day disaster
Fiz’s presents are undeniably disappointing, being a box of chocolates and a keyring. But Tyrone has big plans and shares a secret grin with the girls.

However, when the trio later descend the stairs in their wedding outfits, they find a note from Fiz informing them that she’s gone to buy a turkey. A panicked Ty then calls Fiz’s phone, only to find that she’s left it at home. But after consulting Ches and Gemma, they instruct him to head to the hotel while Bernie and Dev wait for Fiz.
The trouble is, Fiz’s car breaks down on a country road and, without her mobile, she’s left looking for a phone box. Tyrone, meanwhile, is left telling the guests that the wedding is off and that they ought to just head to the Rovers for the buffet. Fiz, though, has stopped a passing walker by the name of Chris and explained the state of affairs – will he come to her rescue?
Max moves in with Griff
Christmas dinner at the Platts’ fails to go to plan when David makes a joke about Griff, which results in Max leaping to his defence before storming out.
On Boxing Day, it’s David who’ll be losing his temper when, after spotting Griff being pally with Max at the festive market, he tries to drag the youngster away. But Max lashes out and tells David he hates him and that he’s moving in with Griff.
After getting settled in at his new home, Max is asked by Griff to update some of their videos. Toyah, meanwhile, is back on the Street warning a shaken David that Max needs to be extricated from the clutches of Griff, as he’s a dangerous man.
Stephen is exposed?
There’s pressure for Stephen on a number of fronts, the biggest threat coming from Leo’s dad Teddy, who’s back in town with news that his son never arrived in Canada. And, what’s more, the texts he sent came from Weatherfield. Teddy intends to break the news to Jenny, but as he crosses the road, he’s hit by a van.
Teddy is then taken to hospital, where he soon takes a turn for the worse. Stephen, though, is secretly thrilled and tells Jenny that, just before Teddy’s accident, he admitted to having seen Leo in Canada, where it was made clear to him that he never wanted to see either of them again.
Stephen’s lies also look set to spiral when he’s confronted by Gail, who’s been on the phone to Gabrielle. Sarah and Michael, meanwhile, resign from the factory – only for a squirming Stephen to subsequently break the news that he can’t find the cash to fund their venture.
Todd makes a move on Laurence
Todd is left jealous when Sean announces that he and Laurence are off to the Peaks for the night. But upon their return, Laurence decides to discuss the situation with Todd, commenting that it’s clear he doesn’t like him and would welcome the opportunity to change his mind.
Over a bottle of wine, the atmosphere improves, but Todd then leans in for a kiss. And when he later says that the flirting was mutual, Sean is left apoplectic!
Summer faces Billy
Summer calls at Mike and Esther’s house and hands them an envelope containing her wages. It’s an act that results in the building of bridges, and Summer ends up telling the pair that she’s prepared to talk to their solicitor about surrogacy.
But when Billy arrives on the scene, having been contacted by Esther, Summer is left shocked. What will he make of her decision?
Will Daniel propose?
Jenny confides in Ken that Daniel was going to propose to Daisy, but had his plan scuppered thanks to the engagement ring being stolen in the robbery at No 1.
Ken is left thoughtful – can he help Daniel to pull off his proposal after all?
