'Coronation Street' preview: Where is Lydia as Adam's life hangs in the balance?
The drama continues in Wednesday’s Coronation Street as Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) fate remains uncertain thanks to scheming Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan).
Viewers have seen Adam’s former fling Lydia wage war on him in recent weeks, fooling his wife Sarah (Tina O’Brien) into believing they were having an affair. She then framed Adam for criminal damage on her flat when the wreckage was all her own work.
Sarah fell hook, line and sinker for Lydia’s lies, and began divorce proceedings against her husband. On Monday, Adam took action by sneakily sending Lydia a text from Sarah’s phone to arrange a meeting.
At the shopping centre, Adam attempted to record a confession from Lydia, but she saw straight through his plan and it wasn’t long before they ended up in a heated confrontation.

Lydia reminded Adam that, far from being a brief fling, they had once been in a relationship. When Lydia fell pregnant at the time, Adam casually told her to get rid of the baby.
While Lydia underwent a traumatic experience, Adam dumped her and never looked back — until she arrived in Weatherfield and clapped eyes on him for the first time in a decade, and he failed to even recognise her.
Although Adam tried to apologise for his awful behaviour, Lydia turned on him when she realised he was only doing so to get her to tell Sarah the truth. In the ensuing altercation, Lydia pushed Adam from a balcony just as his uncle Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) arrived in search of him.

While he hadn’t actually seen Lydia push Adam, Daniel had heard her shouting and he later told doctors he knew who was behind the accident.
As Corrie returns, Daniel and his father Ken Barlow (William Roache) anxiously wait for news on Adam at the hospital. Meanwhile, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) finds Sarah and explains what has happened to Adam.

To reveal any more would be spoiling the final chapter of this story, but you can expect a resolution to be reached very soon.
Will Sarah go and visit her estranged husband? Even if she does, will Adam survive? And what about Lydia - after fleeing the scene, will she come back to face up to what she’s done?
Will the truth come out about her plotting, or has she disappeared for good, leaving an almighty mess in her wake?
You’ll have to tune in to Coronation Street at 8pm to find out.
