Yahoo News Coronation Street's Georgia May Foote announces engagement
Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has announced her engagement.
The soap actress shared a photo of her brand new sparkler on Instagram on New Year's Eve (Friday, December 31) to reveal that she's planning to wed partner Kris Evans.
"Mrs Evans to be. Of course I am still crying," she wrote. "@krisevansmusic I love you beyond words and I am honoured you have chosen me."
Foote received numerous well-wishes from famous friends, including current Coronation Street cast member Ellie Leach (who plays Faye Windass).

Ellie wrote to her: "ahhhhh congratulations to you both!!!!!!"
Former Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson (aka Sian Powers) also wrote: "Oh my goodnessssss. Congratulations you gorgeous humansss."
"Ah, congratulations darling! Sending you so much love," ex-Corrie star Charlie Condou added.
Foote spent five years on Coronation Street as Katy Armstrong until leaving in 2015, with the character later being killed off-screen in a car crash.
She has since gone to Hollywood to appear in the fantasy series The Outpost, and will next appear in Ghosts creators Ben Willbond and Laurence Rickard's new series We Are Not Alone.

Joining Foote in the past will be Grantchester's Declan Baxter, The Inbetweeners' Joe Thomas, Sherlock's Amanda Abbington, Emily in Paris's Lucien Laviscount, A Very British Scandal's Miles Jupp and Catastrophe's Rob Delaney.
We Are Not Alone will air on Dave and UKTV Play in 2022.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
