Yahoo News Coronation Street's Liam faces Mason's fury in more bullying scenes

Coronation Street's Liam Connor is forced to use desperate measures to escape from school bully Mason Radcliffe next week.
Liam causes a fire scare at Weatherfield High when Mason continues to cruelly target him in upsetting scenes.
The ongoing bullying storyline has taken a break from screens recently, but it's revisited next week when viewers see Liam skipping school to keep away from Mason.
After letting his mum Maria and stepdad Gary believe that he has left for school, Liam secretly returns to the flat. He then uses the Weatherfield High website to report himself absent due to illness.

Liam's plan backfires when Maria receives a call from the school, letting her know that the teen hasn't been seen in lessons for a week.
Later in the week, Maria puts her foot down as she insists that Liam must attend school. She forces the issue by accompanying Liam to the bus stop.
Maria is satisfied when Liam boards the vehicle, but she's confused when Dylan Wilson gets on and completely blanks his former friend.
When Maria realises that Liam left his phone behind, she catches up with him at the school gate. Liam is embarrassed to be seen with his mum at school – and Mason is clearly enjoying the situation as he secretly films them.

Later, Mason continues to make Liam's life a misery by snatching his phone and making him beg for it back.
As the other kids laugh, Mason gleefully refuses to hand the phone back over. Liam is humiliated and rushes off.
Later, as Liam heads for the school exit, Mason grabs him and pins him against the wall.
In desperation, Liam sets off the fire alarm to cause a distraction and get away from Mason. Will his drastic move land him in further trouble?
