'Transformers' actor Sophia Myles confirms father's death from coronavirus
Tranformers actor Sophia Myles has disclosed that her father has died as a result of the coronavirus.
The 40-year-old confirmed Peter Myles had been diagnosed with the virus on 14 March while battling underlying health issues.
Myles posted the tragic news to her Twitter account on Saturday, sharing: "RIP Peter Myles. My dear Dad died only a few hours ago. It was the Corona Virus that finally took him."

It came hours after Myles had shared a photo of herself visiting her father in hospital as she donned protective wear including plastic gloves, an apron and a surgical mask.
She wrote: "Yesterday I went on a journey to see my father. This is the harsh reality of the Coronavirus."

Myles also shared a photo of herself alongside her father and brother in an older photo hours before her parent’s death.

The Doctor Who actor has been posting daily video updates on her father's condition to Twitter.
On Saturday morning, she revealed she had taken a CBS news crew with her to visit her father in hospital on Friday, and that the footage would be shown on Monday to show the reality of the virus.
As of Saturday morning, it was confirmed that 5,018 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus and that 233 people had lost their lives in the UK as a result of the virus.
