Corrections and clarifications

• Our obituary of Rodney Bewes (23 November, page 43) claimed that in 1997 he won the Stella Artois prize for his production of Three Men in a Boat at the Edinburgh fringe. Bewes said in a 2012 interview with the Express: “I make things up all the time. I claim to have won the Stella Artois prize at the Edinburgh Fringe but there’s no such thing.”

• Because of an editing error, we referred to Sir Brian Leveson incorrectly as Lord Justice Leveson. That was how he was known when he was a lord justice of appeal, from 2006 to 2013. After that he became Sir Brian once again, as president of the Queen’s bench division (Leveson asked to advise on second stage of press inquiry, 24 November, page 11).

• Homophone corner: “Next in line was Theresa May. ‘I’m going to stick to water,’ he said, ‘but I believe the prime minister has some cough pastels in her pocket’” (Walls close in on Freewheelin’ Phil, 23 November, page 9).
