Coronation Street has revealed the outcome of Steve McDonald being held at knifepoint.

Steve is threatened by a thug this Friday (May 17) after one of his cab customers holds up a garage and then uses him as a getaway driver.

A horrified Steve is forced to beg for his life afterwards, as his criminal passenger threatens him with the weapon.

Corrie has now shared the good news with fans that Steve does live to tell the tale, but on the downside, his troubles are far from over.

Next week, Steve is struggling and feeling edgy after the incident, but his wife Tracy (Kate Ford) is unsympathetic and orders him to get back out driving.

Tracy wants Steve to make as much money as possible so they can get out of the flat they currently share with Liz.

When Steve does go out for another shift, he badly overreacts to three young lads who refuse to pay their fare.

Steve whips out a baseball bat and threatens the youths, chasing them down the street when they do a runner.

His actions have terrifying consequences when one of the guys is run over – has Steve just landed himself in serious trouble?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, May 22 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
