A lorry carrying tonnes of McVitie's biscuits caused traffic chaos after shedding its load of Ginger Nuts and Bourbon Creams across a busy road.

Police were called after the HGV spilled hundreds of packets of biscuits over the carriageway in Derbyshire on Monday.

The road was closed while the huge clean-up operation began with officers joking they were trying to "digest" the issue.
