Cruz Beckham unveils debut single in time for Christmas

Young Cruz Beckham has unveiled his debut single If Every Day Was Christmas, announcing all profits will be going to charity.

David and Victoria Beckham's youngest son joined Capital FM to sing a verse from the track, telling listeners the song brings together "two of my favourite things: singing and Christmas".

"And it's amazing to put those together and the money is going to charity," he told the station.

The 11-year-old was joined by his celebrity father who introduced himself in the video by saying "Hi, I'm Cruz's dad David, how are you?".

The former England star added: "I'm really proud.

"He's having fun, he's enjoying it."

Shortly after their radio appearance, the Beckhams were criticised by Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan for "putting these kids into the public domain while simultaneously saying privacy".

Morgan suggested young Cruz should be "going to school", not releasing singles.

Cruz is being managed by Justin Bieber's agent Scooter Braun, who was quick to respond to Morgan's attack.

"He is an 11-year-old who wanted to make a song to help other kids," Braun wrote on Twitter.

"Once again Piers shows why he is a jackass and why his US show was cancelled," he added.

"Some people in this world make a living out of finding the worst in every situation. It means they have a career ... not class. Just a career."

Profits from the song's sales will go to Global's Make Some Noise charity- supporting disadvantaged young people in the UK.

The album's cover photo was taken by Cruz's older brother Brooklyn, who will be releasing a photography book titled What I See.
