Cyndi Lauper, Rufus Wainwright and Troye Sivan to perform for Stonewall Inn Gives Back! charity virtual concert

The likes of Cyndi Lauper, Rufus Wainwright and Troye Sivan are taking part in a new live-streamed concert as part of the Stonewall Inn Gives Back! Initiative.

The event, being held this Thursday evening (April 23), will raise money for the LGBTQ+ nightlife industries which have been affected by coronavirus.

RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage will host the event, with Alan Cumming, Allie X, Dareen Hayes, Kim Petras and more also set to perform.

Stonewall Gives Back! will live-stream from 1am on Friday morning in the UK (Thursday 8PM ET) on the World of Wonder YouTube Channel.

People working in the sector will be able to apply for grants through the Stonewall Inn Gives Back initiative, using money raised through the concert. Donate to the appeal here.

The virtual concert is being produced by Erich Bergen, who previously helped to organise the Saturday Night Seder event which raised more than £2.35m ($2.9m).

It’s the latest high-profile live stream concert to raise money during the coronavirus outbreak, after Lady Gaga’s One World: Together at Home at the weekend, which featured the likes of Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Swift.
