Danny Dyer and daughter Sunnie star in new Kate Nash music video Wasteman

Danny Dyer is set to make a surprise appearance in a new Kate Nash music video alongside daughter Sunnie in her acting debut.

Describing it as “the unexpected collaboration of a lifetime,” the London-born singer-songwriter teased a snippet from the promo for the track entitled Wasteman on social media.

In it, Danny can be seen having a heart-to-heart with 15-year-old Sunnie about her boyfriend who he describes as a “wasteman”.

Sunnie is the younger sister of former Love Island winner Danni Dyer.

The full video for Wasteman is expected to drop later on Friday with Nash using the hashtag “new music Friday”.

Nash’s fans flooded the comments section on the post to share their excitement.

“Omg this looks brilliant!” wrote one.

“ICONIC!” declared a second.

“This is amazing I love Danny Dyer,” enthused a third.

The news comes after Danny revealed earlier this year that he would be leaving EastEnders after nine years as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter.

Speaking to the Standard in May about his decision to quit the BBC soap, Dyer simply said he felt “it was just time”.

He won’t be resting on his laurels however and has recently been filming for new gameshow Cheat on Netflix alongside co-host Ellie Taylor.

While no stranger to the genre as host of BBC’s The Wall, he said he is really relishing this particular opportunity.

He explained: “Listen, I never thought I would be a gameshow host and I love it. This one’s more suited to me, I can swear and be a bit more me self. It’s about human behaviour and people cheating their way to money.

“You’re allowed to cheat and it’s like a game of poker, as long as you don’t clock people cheating or don’t get caught, you win loads of money.”
