Dawson's Creek star signs up to reboot classic movie as TV show

Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson has joined True Blood's Lizzy Caplan in the TV reboot of classic movie Fatal Attraction.

The Wrap reports that Jackson will be taking on the role of Dan Gallagher, a married man who has a brief fling with Alex Forrest (Caplan) while his family is away. When Alex becomes increasingly persistent about seeing him again, he tries to cut her off – but Alex's obsession with him begins to spiral out of control and become increasingly dangerous.

Dan was played by Michael Douglas in the original 1987 movie, while Glenn Close starred as Alex and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for the role.

"Partnered with Kevin, they will bring the next explosive chapter of this story to a new generation with a balanced eye to the complexities of the human psyche."
