Yahoo News Doctor Who and EastEnders actress Ann Davies dies, aged 87
British actress Ann Davies has passed away at the age of 87, her agent has confirmed.
She's famed for her roles in television shows such as EastEnders, Doctor Who and Grange Hill.
She was also married to late Good Life star Richard Briers and the couple had two daughters, Lucy and Kate.
The married couple starred alongside each other in the silver screen in the 1992 film, Peter's Friends, and 1995's In the Bleak Midwinter.
Davies' talent agent Barry Langford broke the news of her death on Twitter and paid tribute to the late star.
He wrote: "Sadly my lovely client of 34 years Ann Davies passed away yesterday [April 27].
"A superb actress with TV credits including #DoctorWho and #TheSculptress, Ann was devoted to her beloved late husband #RichardBriers and their daughters Lucy and Kate.
"She will be very much missed. #RIP Annie," Langford concluded.
Classic Doctor Who fans may recognise Davies from one of her earliest TV appearances, where she featured alongside the first incarnation of The Doctor, played by William Hartnell.
She played Jenny in an episode of the hit BBC sci-fi series titled 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth'.

In the 1990s, Davies delved into the world of soaps with minor roles on EastEnders, The Bill and Grange Hill.
Davies also went on to appear in Doctors in 2003, playing a character called Annette Ludlow.
Tributes have already begun flooding in on social media with many sharing their fond memories of the actress.
Writer Adam Christopher tweeted: "Oh, very sad to hear about this. Jenny was an amazing character, and Ann Davies one of the great guest cast of the Hartnell era."
"#DoctorWho fans will remember her as the urban freedom fighter Jenny from the TV version of Dalek Invasion of Earth. What a lovely lady and fine actor she was," Doctor Who writer Guy Lambert added.
