The cast and crew of hit BBC drama Doctor Foster have been banned from social media ahead of the final episode.

In order to keep all plot twists under wraps, everyone involved has been told to steer clear of posting anything online before Tuesday’s show.

Following last week’s dramatic penultimate episode, in which Gemma Foster appeared to mow her car into her cheating ex-husband, producers have been desperately trying to keep spoilers off the internet.

“We’re not allowed to do anything [on social media],” cast member Neil Stuke told the Daily Star.

“I couldn’t post any pictures of the Maserati I got to drive in last week’s episode.”

Stuke, who plays Kate’s father Chris, added: “Everything is under lock and key. The plots are kept top secret.”

“We haven’t been able to talk to anybody about it – I didn’t even talk to my other half.”

Viewers were left shocked during last week’s show after Foster, played by Suranne Jones, finally got the ultimate revenge on Simon.

After revealing his infidelity to his new wife, Foster made sure that her ex-husband was left without a home, money or his son.

But it seems that there are even more twists and turns in store for viewers, as Stuke has suggested that everything is not as it seems.

“I think people are going to be really shocked and surprised,” he said.

The final episode of Doctor Foster is on BBC1, Tuesday at 9pm.
