Donald Trump boards Air Force One with toilet paper stuck to his shoe

In the latest in a series of viral moments from the US president, Donald Trump has boarded Air Force One with toilet paper stuck to his shoe.

A clip of the awkward moment was posted on Twitter, showing Trump climbing up the stairs to his presidential private jet with a long piece of white toilet paper flapping, clearly stuck to his left shoe.

The president was boarding the aircraft at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

The clip shows Mr Trump reaching the top of the steps to the plane and turning around to wave to the gathered crowds and then entering the cabin, at which point the papers dislodges from his foot.

Four members of Trump’s entourage then follow him up the steps to Air Force One, with the last one picking up the rogue litter and carrying it on board.

The embarrassing moment happened as Trump travelled to Minnesota for a campaign rally.

Addressing crowds of Republican supporters at the ‘Make America Great Again’ event, the President accused Democrats of stalling the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court.

He called Mr Kavanaugh an ‘incredible judge’ and a man of ‘incredible intellect.’

Kavanaugh has been accused of historic sexual assault claims by three women.

The Republican Party has now declared that an FBI investigation exonerates him of guilt.

Hundreds of protestors gathered to demonstrate against his nomination, with 302 people arrested, including comedian Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski.

Democrats say that the inquiry into the allegations was ‘incomplete’ and limited by the White House.

A vote on the nomination will be held today (Friday).
