EastEnders star Maddy Hill has bowed out of her role as Nancy Carter, a year after returning to the show.
Thursday's (June 23) episode of the BBC soap saw Nancy depart Walford following the breakdown of her relationship with Zack Hudson.
Zack left Nancy devastated earlier in the week after cheating on her with Sam Mitchell.

Although Nancy did consider giving Zack another chance, she ultimately concluded that their relationship would never be the same again.
Nancy has also been struggling with Linda's alcoholism and the role she believed it played in the car crash.
Speaking about her exit, Maddy – who plays Nancy – said to Digital Spy: "It's been great revisiting Nancy and the Square over the past year but it felt like the right time to move on for now. I already miss everyone and feel so grateful to work with people I have so much love for."
A BBC spokesperson, added: "We wish Maddy all the very best for the future".

As she prepared to move to Manchester tonight, Nancy briefly contemplated taking her baby sister Annie with her.
After a difficult showdown with Linda, Nancy eventually decided to hand Annie back – but sadly, still didn't leave on very good terms with her mum.
Viewers know that a devious Janine was actually driving the car when it crashed, before framing Linda, who had been drinking.
Maddy played Nancy for three years between 2013 and 2016, before reprising the role early last year.
EastEnders airs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on BBC One. All of next week's episodes will be available for early release from Monday, June 27.
