Yahoo News EastEnders' Ben hatches desperate new Lola plan
EastEnders fans will see Ben Mitchell hatch another masterplan tonight (June 27) following the shock news that Lola Pearce may be leaving Walford.
Ben (Max Bowden) was shocked earlier this week when his daughter Lexi let slip that Lola wanted to move back to Newcastle.
In Thursday's visit to Albert Square, Ben is quick to confront Lola (Danielle Harold) about her secret plans.
Ben pleads for one more day with Lexi before Lola takes her away, feeling under pressure to buy himself some time.
Ben soon hatches a plan to make Lola stay, even roping in Billy to help him.
The schemer is willing to go to desperate lengths to ensure that Lola sticks around, but will his efforts be successful?
Things seemed to be looking up for Lola this week when she secured herself a new job at the local hair salon.
Lola was also given hope by Billy that she still stood a chance with Jay Brown following problems in his relationship with Ruby Allen. However, when Jay and Ruby managed to sort things out, Lola was left feeling disheartened and wanted to leave.
Elsewhere in Walford tonight, Rainie Branning's decision to do a runner with baby Abi is sure to have repercussions, while Ian Beale tries to help his son Bobby settle back into Walford.
There are also tensions for Chantelle Atkins and her father, as Mitch Baker is still refusing to give her husband Gray a chance. Will some home truths from Chantelle help to resolve the situation?
EastEnders airs tonight at the earlier time of 7pm on BBC One.
