Emily Atack and mum Kate Robbins ran from 7/7 bombings

Emily Atack and her mother Kate Robbins ran for miles across London to escape the 7/7 bombings.

Actress and singer Robbins, 57, recalled on the 15th anniversary of the 2005 terror attacks how she and the I’m A Celebrity... star were told by police to flee for their safety.

Robbins wrote on social media: “15 yrs ago- Emerging from Kings Cross tube with 15 yr old @EmAtack , the police yelled 'Run!'

“Along with hundreds of others we ran non-stop from KingsX to Soho. We heard the bus bomb as we ran.

“Remembering the 52 souls who lost their lives today. #londonbombings NEVER FORGET.”

Over 700 people were injured after four suicide bombs were detonated on July 7th 2005 at Edgware Road, Aldgate and Russell Square tube stations. An hour after the first blasts, a bomb was also detonated on a bus at Tavistock Square.

Robbins, 61, is best known for her acting role in ITV soap Crossroads and her 1981 hit single More Than Love.

Atack, 30, had her big break in E4 comedy The Inbetweeners and made a memorable appearance on jungle reality show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018. She went on to co-host spinoff show I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp in 2019.

She recently opened up on her struggles with coming to terms with her parents’ divorce. Robbins split from musician Keith Atack when Emily was a teenager.

The I’m A Celebrity star told White Wine Question Time she felt like her “family was crumbling apart” and decided to move out of the family home aged 18 with her younger sister Martha to live in their own flat.

She added: “It just really made me understand and grow up really quickly. It made me think nothing is certain or guaranteed and you have to secure a life for yourself.”
