Tonight's episode of Emmerdale (May 17) teased the start of a custody war between Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), as the former came clean about her involvement in a recent accident.

Earlier this month, Megan was responsible for causing the car crash that led to Eric Pollard being run over when she got distracted while driving.

With the pressure of holding back the truth of her involvement in the wreck becoming too heavy a burden, Megan confessed everything to Pollard.

After hearing the shocking truth, Pollard threatened to go to the police, but Megan's partner Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) managed to stop him by offering to send more business his way at the B&B.

However, Megan soon took matters into her own hands, as she rang the police and told them she wanted to change her statement.

Although she appears ready to face the consequences, Megan will have no idea of another battle ahead next week. Jai Sharma will be seething once Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) tells him that Eliza (Kyrena Robinson) was in the car at the time of the crash.

Jai storms over to confront Megan about what she's done, insisting that he'll be keeping their daughter. Not only that, Gaynor Faye has hinted that her character could end up behind bars because of her involvement in the accident.

Emmerdale currently airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
