A brooding new image released to trail the plot includes nine characters who will be affected the most bt the drama that is about to erupt - including Dingle mainplayers Mandy (Lisa Riley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter), and Charity (Emma Atkins).
Soap bosses have warned viewers to look out for "blackmail threats, cruel deception, and forbidden, secret liaisons" this spring that involve a large number of Dingles as well as various baby complications.
Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has been heartbroken after discovering wife Chas's affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), but when he takes a trip down memory lane with ex-wife Mandy, the pair end up falling into bed together.
Will Paddy's night of romance spur him on to get his life back on track, or will it see him sink deeper into depression?

Meanwhile, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) has found that since baby Esther was born, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) has shown a love and support for her that Samson Dingle (Sam Hall), who fathered her child, has not even come close to.
Generous Noah suggests setting up a trust fund for Esther's future, but when Samson gets wind of it, he uses it as a way to blackmail Noah - which will have huge ramifications for his entire family.
Over at Charity's branch of the Dingle family, her relationship with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) seems in a better place than it has for months as they begin to overcome the trauma caused by the loss of their unborn child and look forward to a big Dingle wedding.
But when the couple's lives were at their rockiest, Mack had believed they were on a break and had a one-night stand with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) which he regretted and was keen to forget.
So when he discovered that Chloe is pregnant with his child, he found himself trying to cover up a heavy secret and of course it will only be a matter of time until the bombshell news explodes.
Viewers will see whether Charity is able to come to terms with the news that the love of her life cheated on her, or if it will send her spiralling towards self destructive behaviour again.
Emmerdale continues at 7.30pm on weeknights on ITV1.
