Emmerdale tonight: Will Kyle return home as he faces court?
Can Cain keep his temper in check?
It’s a tense time for Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in tonight’s Emmerdale, as he anxiously waits for news on son Kyle’s (Huey Quinn) future.
The ITV soap, which airs tonight at 7.30pm in an hour-long instalment, recently saw Kyle confess to police that he was responsible for the fatal shooting of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

As a result, Kyle was taken to a local authority children’s home; while Cain was released from prison after trying to take the blame.
Cain was furious with half-brother Caleb Miligan (William Ash) for interfering, even though Caleb’s solicitor friend is building up a strong case for Kyle’s defence. Refusing to trust him, Cain issued a death threat to Caleb, while Caleb dished out a warning of his own when Cain refused to settle their differences.
Feud aside, though, the family were dealt a number of blows as a new week dawned. Kyle’s family met with the solicitor to discuss his court appearance, and Cain was upset to learn that he wouldn’t be able to visit his son or attend the plea hearing, as he’s a vital witness.
So Kyle’s mother Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) prepared to visit him, with Cain and wife Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) young son Isaac making his big brother a special comic for her to give him.

But a call from the secure unit revealed that there had been an incident, so Amy couldn’t see him after all. More worried than ever, Cain nursed a drink while he wondered how Kyle was coping. But when Moira arrived home and accidentally knocked his glass over, spilling the contents over Isaac’s comic, Cain was furious.
Although he admitted he had overreacted, Moira remarked that she feared the consequences should the situation not go Kyle’s — and Cain’s — way. And she wasn’t just referring to Kyle’s fate, as her spouse struggles to contain his temper.

So will the family be reunited? That remains to be seen, but there are heightened emotions ahead as Emmerdale continues.
This storyline may be giving Cain yet another excuse to act the village hard-man, but it’s also allowed actor Jamieson and her young co-star Quinn the chance to shine.
Amy and Kyle haven’t been at the centre of the action for years, and it’s great to see these characters in the spotlight as the strong performances continue.
Will Kyle be able to come home? Even if he does, how will he fare in the upcoming trial? You’ll have to tune in to Emmerdale on ITV1 from 7.30pm for all the latest drama.
