Emmerdale's Liv is tempted by alcohol after Paul's death

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has confirmed that Liv Flaherty will be tempted by alcohol again next week.

Liv (Isobel Steele) is currently struggling with secret guilt over the death of Paul Ashdale, feeling that she could have done more to save him after the crash disaster.

Liv was with evil Paul (Reece Dinsdale) when Jimmy King accidentally crashed his truck into the wedding barn at the start of this month.

She initially made attempts to save Paul when he found himself trapped among the wreckage, but feeling little sympathy for the violent villain, she ultimately gave up. Shortly afterwards, an explosion rocked the barn.

Paul's son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) recently asked Liv for the exact details of what happened, but she only told him part of the story.

In next week's episodes, Liv's guilt intensifies as she continues to reflect on Paul's demise.

She almost gives into the temptation of having a drink and is clearly struggling.

When Liv next sees her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), will she tell him what's going on?

Liv first became dependent on alcohol in 2018, when she faced an uncertain future after accidentally spiking Lisa Dingle's drink at The Woolpack.

The teen started drinking more as she struggled with her guilt over the situation, and continued to turn to alcohol during other tough times in her life.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
