Yahoo News Emmerdale's Rhona and Pete receive a new shock
Emmerdale fans will see Rhona Goskirk and Pete Barton's troubles come to a head tonight (July 18) as they're forced to endure a surprise engagement party.
Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) has decided to arrange the gathering for the couple, who appeared to be getting their relationship back on track last night when Pete organised a romantic re-proposal.
Thursday's double bill sees Rhona (Zoe Henry) grow uneasy when she finds out what Vanessa is planning ahead of time.
Rhona still isn't entirely sure whether she and Pete (Anthony Quinlan) are doing the right thing by making such a big commitment, well aware of how awkward things have been between them recently.

Pete is also hiding some doubts, finally acknowledging to himself that he might want to have a biological child of his own one day – despite his previous protests to the contrary.
Rhona and Pete end up taking centre stage at The Woolpack, with their loved ones keen to celebrate with them, but the strained atmosphere between them becomes increasingly obvious.
Can a heart-to-heart between the couple help them to get through this and start building a happy future together? Or is it time to call time on their relationship once and for all?
Emmerdale airs these scenes tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
