Emmerdale's Sandra finally caught out by Liv

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Sandra Flaherty has finally been caught out by daughter Liv in Emmerdale.

For months, Sandra has been driving a wedge in her own daughter's marriage to Vinny Dingle in hopes of stealing her money and doing another runner.

Vinny and Mandy have caught onto Sandra's sinister motives, but it wasn't until Thursday's (September 29) double bill that Liv realised she was being scammed.

Sandra sunk so low as to tempt Liv into drinking again, then chastised her for falling off the wagon. Secretly, Sandra was delighted that her plan was working after Liv drunkenly mentioned her growing savings.

Sandra plied Liv with more alcohol, and once Liv was passed out, she set out to empty her daughter's bank account.

However, Liv popped up to reveal she'd been pretending to be drunk the entire time to find out whether Vinny and Mandy were right about her mum's treachery.

"I should have seen it. Mandy tried to warn me," Liv admitted.

While Sandra initially denied doing anything wrong, she finally came clean about all of her lies. Sandra suggested Liv was "too good a person" to call the police since they'd lock her away for a long time.

Sandra offered to pack a bag and leave, but when Liv called the police, she tried to escape. Mandy caught up with Sandra to tackle her for the cops.

Meanwhile, Vinny and Liv shared a warm hug, relieved that this difficult chapter was finally over.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
