Yahoo News Emmerdale's Suzy and Cain make surprise alliance in Leyla story

Emmerdale's Suzy Merton and Cain Dingle become unlikely allies tonight (August 8) as they try to clear up Leyla Cavanagh's mess.
Leyla has recently been storing drugs for a dealer, but was taken out of action when she took an overdose and suffered a heart attack.
In Monday's episode, Leyla is discharged from hospital but is reminded of the trouble she's still in when her husband Liam reads a text on her phone.
The message is from drug dealer Callum, who is unaware of Leyla's recent overdose and is making demands.

Although Leyla tries her best to cover, she's wrong-footed when she realises that Liam already knows about her secret stash of drugs.
Realising she can be honest, Leyla admits just how much trouble she's in with dangerous Callum.
Fortunately, Leyla can rely on support from Suzy and Cain, who have already teamed up to deal with the situation.
Suzy and Cain head off to meet with Callum and hand over the drugs supply, wanting him to stay away from now on.

Suzy returns the drugs and uses Cain as back-up, giving Callum a stern warning to cut all ties with Leyla.
Cain later promises Liam that the drugs have been dealt with. However, when Liam passes this information onto Leyla, she fears it's too good to be true and continues to obsess over the drugs.
Liam is annoyed with Leyla for seemingly worrying about her dodgy dealings above all else. Have Cain and Suzy really done enough to help Leyla? And can Liam and Leyla ever get their marriage back on track?
