Yahoo News The Equalizer confirms how Chris Noth's character has been written out

The Equalizer has finally confirmed the fate of Chris Noth's character William Bishop, three months after the actor's final scenes aired.
Noth was fired from the series back in December of last year, after being accused of sexual misconduct by three women. The former Sex and the City star has denied the allegations, calling them "categorically false".
Nonetheless, William Bishop is no longer a part of The Equalizer, and Sunday evening's (April 10) episode revealed how the character, an ex-CIA director who started a private security company, was written out of the show.

In 'Pulse', fans watched as the nemesis of Queen Latifah's Robyn McCall – Mason Quinn – returned, with their dangerous cat-and-mouse pursuit of one another reaching fever pitch.
With McCall unable to reach her mentor Bishop, who was supposedly away in Europe, Quinn revealed that he had orchestrated the untimely demise of her long-time mentor.
All but confirming a grisly off-screen death for Bishop, it transpired that Quinn had manufactured a plane crash, in which Bishop and the other passengers are presumed dead. In a final word of warning to his rival, Quinn told McCall that he'll come after her next if she doesn't give up the chase.
The Equalizer's latest plot twist comes after Queen Latifah opened up about the "surreal" situation leading to Noth's departure from the show.
Speaking in January, she said: "It's still surreal. It is such a dicey, delicate situation that requires a great deal of respect.
"That's a personal thing that he's going to have to deal with... Chris's character is obviously a big part of the show and it was amazing chemistry, amazing chemistry."
Latifah added: "And my feeling is justice has to prevail regardless. I just want the right things to be done, you know?"
