The Tourist, starring The Fall's Jamie Dornan, Line of Duty's Shalom Brune-Franklin and Easy's Danielle Macdonald, has dropped its first episode on BBC One. It introduced us to Dornan's amnesiac lead character and chucked some crazy twists our way (which you can read about here).

And if you haven't already binged the series on BBC iPlayer, you've got plenty more twists and turns to come, and Macdonald is only too pleased to tease them.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the actress said: "It's interesting, because there is a lot of twists and turns as the story progresses, which is very fun. But there's also a lot of heart that comes along with that.

"I think you really get the full spectrum of emotions and genres in this show. I wouldn't even know what to call it if someone asks, 'Is it a dramedy, a comedy, or a drama?' I'm like: it's everything. It's action, mystery, thriller, comedy, drama. You get everything, which is kind of what's fun, because you don't really know what's next.

"So I would say: what to expect is just to be wrong, and to expect the unexpected. Because I certainly was, as I read through it. I didn't know where it was going at all.

"After I finished the series, I called Shalom instantly, and I was like, 'I can't talk to anyone about this, because no one's read it, and I'm not allowed to say anything, so I need you to talk to me about it. We just need to talk about this whole situation.' She was like, 'I know'.

"It's just: expect the unexpected. Expect the twists and turns, and the full range of emotions. Just go on the ride. You know what I mean? Just be open to whatever the ride is, I would say."
