First look at Line of Duty's Martin Compston in new BBC thriller The Nest
Here's a first look at Line of Duty star Martin Compston's new BBC drama The Nest in a brand new on-set photo.
The recently-announced five-part series follows a wealthy couple (played by Compston and Peaky Blinders' Sophie Rundle) as they find a surrogate mother for their baby – though the woman who comes into their life has a life that is far from charmed.
In a new picture from filming, which you can check out below, we see Compston and Rundle's characters conversing in a doorway.
The drama has been filming in Glasgow, and also stars newcomer Mirren Mack, Kate Dickie, Samuel Small, Hatton Garden's David Hayman, Stan & Ollie's Shirley Henderson, Fiona Bell, James Harkness, Bailey Patrick and Katie Leung.
Speaking previously about signing up to the series, Compston said: "I'm absolutely delighted to join the cast of The Nest. Nicole Taylor is one of the most exciting and original voices in writing today, I'm chuffed we're finally working together.
"Combined with filming in Glasgow and going back onto BBC One in my native West Coast accent makes it a dream scenario."
Writer and executive producer Nicole Taylor added: "I am overjoyed to be filming in my hometown of Glasgow with a cast I have long dreamt of writing for.
"Martin, Sophie, Kate, Shirley, James, David... they've all been chatting away in my head for years as I've been writing (unbeknownst to them!) so I could not be more proud that they have agreed to join The Nest and make these characters real."
