Footage of outback road being laid is 'mesmerising'

The sight of a remote dirt road receiving a layer of bitumen is commonplace for some, but for others it proved mesmerising after the process was filmed by drone outside the town of Moora in Western Australia. The Shire of Moora commissioned the roadworks for December, little realising how much attention the video would gain when they published it to their Facebook page. By Christmas, it had been viewed and shared more than 14 million times, as more and more people followed the link to learn how bitumen is laid down in outback Australia.
