Former Home and Away and Neighbours star Jodi Gordon has been talking about her future in the acting business, and it sounds like she is ready to jump back on our screens again.

The actress played Martha MacKenzie in Home and Away from 2005 to 2010, and Elly Conway in Neighbours from 2016 to 2020.

“I just got an acting agent; I haven’t had one in years. I'm really excited to dip my toes into acting again,” revealed Jodie while talking to the Daily Mail.

“It was really exciting to go back and do the Neighbours finale but just acting in general, I'm really excited to see what opportunities present themselves.”

Jodi also spoke candidly about her battles with alcohol, and the steps that she has been taking to make sure that she looks after herself both physically and mentally following a stint in rehab.

“I feel really good. I take life as it comes and I do everything I can to make sure I am doing the right things for my body and mind.

“Mental health is a big part of looking after myself today, as well as physical exercise,” she added.

As mentioned, Jodie returned to Neighbours for its finale where Elly was reunited with Chloe Brennan, and the pair were ready to start a new life together in Sydney.

April Rose Pengilly, who plays Chloe, has been speaking about whether she will return when Neighbours debuts new episodes on Amazon Freevee in 2023, but the happy ending that “Chelly” got could be a stumbling block.

Revealing that she has no idea if she will be invited back, Pengilly said: “We literally have no info and don’t even know if we’ll be asked! I also think me returning may mean Chelly breaking up, and I don’t want to destroy our happy ending.”

So far, the only names confirmed to be coming back for the big Neighbours revival are Alan Fletcher (Karl), Jackie Woodburne (Susan), Ryan Moloney (Toadie) and Stefan Dennis (Paul).

The soon-to-be-renamed Farewell Tour that will include three of those names, plus Pengilly, will still be going ahead in the UK in March before the cast resumes filming in April.

Neighbours returns in mid-2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
