Google your favourite actor and chances are, they have a parent or sibling or cousin (you get the picture) also working in the business.
Talent has a habit of running in families (and don't forget good ol' nepotism too, but that's a conversation for another day).
We previously delved into the Wayans family who, over the years, have become one of Hollywood's most accomplished households. And now we're turning our attention to a British clan who have made quite the name for themselves: the Foxes. So which Fox is which?
Robin Fox (1913 – 1971)
Most famous as: Theatrical agent, plus his sons: James, Robert and Edward, and grandchildren: Emilia, Laurence, Jack, Freddie, and Lydia.
James Fox (b. 1939)
Most famous as: Actor and his sons, Jack and Laurence.
Notable credits include The Servant (1963), King Rat (1965), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967) and Performance (1970).
More recently, you might also recognise him from Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and Downton Abbey.
Robert Fox (b. 1952)
Most famous as: Producer.
Notable credits include The Crown, Atonement, Notes on a Scandal, Closer and The Hours.
Robert was married to actor Natasha Richardson, the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and director and producer Tony Richardson. (She played Hallie and Annie's mum Liz in the Lindsay Lohan version of The Parent Trap and starring as Sally Bowles in Cabaret (1998) on Broadway.)
Edward Fox (b. 1937) and Joanna David (b. 1947)
Most famous as: Actors, and for their children, Emilia and Freddie.
The pair have both enjoyed long and fruitful careers in film, television and on the stage.
Edward has won three BAFTAs for his performances in The Go-Between (1972), A Bridge Too Far (1978) and Edward and Mrs Simpson (1979), and he received a nomination for his performance in Gandhi.
He also played the lead in The Day of the Jackal (1973), and took on the role of M in Never Say Never Again (1983) alongside Sean Connery.
More recently, Edward appeared in Johnny English Strikes Again and BBC series Taboo starring Tom Hardy.
Many will recognise Joanna from BBC adaptations of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility (1971), War and Peace (1972) alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins, The Last of the Mohicans, Ballet Shoes (1975) and Rebecca (1979).
She's also enjoyed fleeting appearances in countless well known TV shows such as Delicious, with Dawn French and her daughter Emilia (more on her later), Doctors, Downton Abbey, Midsomer Murders and many more.
Emilia Fox (b. 1974)
Most famous for: Her TV credits, include Silent Witness, the BBC's 2000 adaptation of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), Delicious and The Trial of Christine Keeler. Her first film role was as Dorota in The Pianist alongside Adrien Brody.
Next up: More Silent Witness. The show will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2022.
Emilia was previously married to Jared Harris, who won a Screen Actors Guild award for his role as Lane Pryce in Mad Men, and a BAFTA for Chernobyl.
Freddie Fox (b.1989)
Most famous for: his portrayal of Margaret Thatcher's son Mark in The Crown, White House Farm, Year of the Rabbit and Cucumber.
Next up: The Pursuit of Love alongside a host of familiar faces including Rebecca star Lily James, The Affair's Dominic West and Fleabag's Andrew Scott, to name just a few.
Laurence Fox (b. 1978)
Most famous for: Well, where to begin? He was best known for playing James Hathaway in ITV's Lewis, as well as appearing in series three of Victoria as Lord Palmerston, Netflix's 2020 mystery thriller White Lines, and ITV's 2008 miniseries Wired with Jodie Whittaker and Toby Stephens, among others.
His most notable film credit is 2001's The Hole starring Keira Knightley, and he's also dabbled in music, but there's really not much to talk about there.
He was married to Billie Piper, of Doctor Who and Secret Diary of a Call Girl fame, who also starred in one of 2020's breakout series I Hate Suzie, which she co-created with Lucy Prebble.
But his reputation shifted in 2020 when he discussed "the oddness in the casting" of a Sikh soldier in the BAFTA-winning film 1917, describing it as "forcing diversity". He later apologised "for being clumsy" in the way he expressed his opinion.
Not long after that, he appeared on the BBC's long-running political debate show Question Time, where he made headlines following an interaction with an audience member regarding the British press's treatment of Meghan Markle.
Laurence launched his own political movement, the Reclaim Party, in November last year, and he spends the vast majority of his time banging on about the perils of wokeness, snowflakes and cancel culture.

Jack Fox (b.1985)
Most famous for: Sanditon, Riviera, Fresh Meat and Privates.
Jack previously told Metro that his dad was approached about him appearing in Harry Potter as Draco Malfoy, but he turned it down.

Lydia Fox (b. 1979)
Most famous as: Producer (The Double) and actor, appearing in minor roles in The Souvenir, Submarine, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The IT Crowd, Holby City and others.
Lydia is married to actor-director Richard Ayoade. The pair met at Cambridge University, married in 2007 and have three children.
