Gary Barlow joins All Saints for lockdown rendition of Never Ever

Gary Barlow has teamed up with All Saints for the latest instalment of his Crooner Sessions series on Instagram.

The Take That star, 49, has joined forces with a number of his celebrity pals to perform duets on social media to lift fans’ spirits during lockdown, while many live music venues are closed.

Barlow joined the girl band for a rendition of their iconic track Never Ever, with group members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, Nicole and Natalie Appleton reuniting over a video link on Instagram Live.

Nicole opened the performance with a perfect rendition of the song’s famous opening monologue, with her band members and Barlow harmonising in the background.

“Happy Monday everyone,” Barlow wrote on Instagram.

“What a start to the week. It’s my pleasure to welcome the amazing @allsaintsoffic to #thecroonersessions Love Love Love these girls.

“They were so amazing on our Wonderland tour and it’s so good to be singing with them today.”

The band returned the compliment, writing on Instagram: “Thank you @officialgarybarlow for inviting us to be part of #TheCroonerSessions.

“We have such unforgettable memories joining @takethat on the #WonderlandTour and loved having this chance to perform #NeverEver with you x.”

Barlow has so far been joined on the Crooner Sessions by singers including Alesha Dixon, Nicole Scherzinger, Niall Horan, Olly Murs and Alfie Boe.

The star recently reunited with his Take That band mates Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams for an online charity concert.
