Harry Brant, the fashion star son of model Stephanie Seymour, has died from an accidental drug overdose at the age of 24.
His family claimed Brant, whose father is 73-year-old billionaire Peter Brant, had been days away from re-entering rehab at the time of his death.
They said in a statement to the New York Times: “It is with enormous sorrow that we share with you the news that our beloved son, Harry Brant, lost his battle with addiction and died due to an accidental overdose of prescription medication.

“Our hearts are shattered. Harry wanted to overcome his addiction and was just days away from re-entering rehab.
“We will forever be saddened that Harry’s life was cut short by this devastating disease. We ask that you please allow our family privacy as we attempt to cope with the loss of our beautiful, beautiful boy.”
Following in his mother's footsteps, socialite Brant had modelled himself in campaigns for Italian Vogue and Balmain.
In a 2015 interview with Vogue, Brant spoke of the "escape" fashion afforded him.
"For me, fashion was an escape from the mundane realities of high school,” he said.
“It was this other world where I could be myself without being teased or made fun of for being a freak—it was even encouraged. That was the most alluring and attractive thing about the industry; there was a family mentality that I found incredible.”

He also released a unisex make-up brand with his brother for MAC.
The statement went on to reflect on his accomplishments as the family shared: “He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done.”
Seymour, 52, and her husband also share son Peter II, 27, and daughter Lily Margaret, 16.
