Helen Flanagan has revealed she has finally set a wedding date four years after she got engaged.

The former Corrie star got engaged to partner Scott Sinclair in 2018.

The pair have yet to make it down the aisle, as they have been busy with their young family and had to pull back on plans to wed in Italy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But they have now set a date for 2024.

Flanagan - who is best known for playing Rosie Webster on the cobbles - told the Mirror: "I have set a date. I'm so picky. I finally found my wedding venue. I don't want to give it away, but basically everybody wants this venue."

The actor also said she thought one of the reasons she and Sinclair were so "laid back" about the planning is that they have been together for 13 years.

"I've been with Scott since I've was 19, I'm 32 now, so I think we are probably a little bit laid back because it does feel like a marriage anyway," she explained.

Flanagan and Sinclair had been dating for years when Sinclair popped the question during a trip to Disneyland.

The couple share daughters Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and one-year-old son Charlie.

Flanagan's last pregnancy was difficult as she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, which the NHS says is “excessive nausea and vomiting” in pregnancy.

Writing on Instagram before she welcomed Charlie, the star said it was “definitely my last pregnancy”.

“I had Matilda at 24 and I wanted my children close together and it just feels right for me,” she said.

“I would never want to go through the hyperemesis again, it wouldn’t be fair on the children I already have and I want to give each child as much attention as each other.”
