Hollyoaks confirms Maxine Minniver survived being hit by a van

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Maxine Minniver has made a terrifying discovery after surviving being hit by a van in Hollyoaks.

Last week's E4 cliffhanger left Max's (Nikki Sanderson) fate unknown when she was hit by a van driven by the woman taken hostage in Warren, Felix and Brad's botched heist.

Felix (Richard Blackwood) had brought the frightened driver back to the garage once the heist went wrong, but she took off in the van once Max showed up looking for Brad (Tom Benedict Knight).

Monday's first-look episode wasted no time in revealing that Maxine was still alive, but had severely injured her left arm.

She was intent on going to the police when Warren insisted he'd been the one robbed by the van driver, but she was convinced to get herself checked out at the hospital first.

Meanwhile, Felix was trying to figure how he could explain to Martine why she'd seen him wearing a phoney police uniform, while Warren warned Brad that Maxine was planning to go to the police.

Brad threatened that it was Warren's responsibility to keep Max quiet, since he'd been the one caught on the CCTV footage.

As Maxine was being discharged from the hospital, she turned around to find someone in the doorway motioning for her to keep quiet — and, unknown to her, wearing the same evil clown mask Warren had used in the heist.

Warren turned up soon after to act as a protector, promising to stay by Maxine's side to make sure she'd be safe. He went so far as to play up their past romance so she'd go to bed with him.

However, the tables turned in Monday's final scene when Warren offered to take her out for dinner after he'd had a shower.

When Warren ducked back into his bedroom, Maxine innocently opened one of his kitchen drawers to find the evil clown mask! What will Maxine do with this discovery?
