Yahoo News Hollyoaks confirms Tom and Yazz as New Year's Eve wedding couple

Hollyoaks has confirmed the couple who will be tying the knot on New Year's Eve.
Thursday's (October 29) first-look episode on E4, Yasmine Maalik (Haiesha Mistry) admitted to her partner Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) that she was worried about the tight timeframe of their nuptials.
"We're in crisis," Yazz complained. "The clock's ticking on our New Year's Eve wedding and we've not got anything planned!"
When Tom tried to convince Yazz it wasn't worth worrying in light of Brody's recent car crash, his bride-to-be pointed out that she'd yet to pick out "either of [her] outfits" for the big day.
"You need two?" a clueless Tom asked.
But by the end of the episode, Yazz had managed to convince Tom that they needed a spectacular wedding right out of a Bollywood film, after showing him some of the movies that inspired her.
Hollyoaks had hinted that these two would be the couple tying the knot on New Year's Eve earlier this week when Tom told his best man he had two months until the ceremony.
Flashforward scenes shown last holiday season had shown Tom and Romeo outside of the wedding venue, though many assumed Romeo would be the groom.
In those scenes, Tom was trying to calm Romeo down as his mate anguished over his conflicted feelings for an unknown girl.
"I still love her – what am I supposed to do?" Romeo said
Given Romeo's rocky relationship with Cher Winters (Bethannie Hare) of late, is it possible that Tom and Yazz will be dealing with someone else's romantic drama on the day of their wedding?
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Fridays at 7pm on E4.
