Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Courtney suspended from school over Sid's sex lie

Courtney Campbell has been suspended from school over Sid Sumner's lies in Hollyoaks.
Earlier this week, Sid bragged to his friends Romeo and Tom that he'd slept with his teacher as a way to prove to them he wasn't sexually inexperienced.
In Thursday's (May 27) first-look episode, Courtney (Amy Conachan) found out that Sid had been spreading the rumours and had shared a photo of the two together.

While studying for her interview in the cafe, Yazz (Haiesha Mistry) stunned her by asking where she got off "seducing innocent school boys".
Sid promised to help Courtney sort the speculation before rumours got out of hand, but it didn't go well as she tried to get Sid to tell Yazz and Romeo the truth.
"Not being funny, but there's no smoke without fire," Yazz insisted.
Yazz threatened to publish the story in the school newspaper, only to back down when Courtney threatened her with a libel suit. One fire had been put out, but another was brewing.
Nancy (Jessica Fox) stopped Courtney outside the Salon du The to ask her to clear up "the photo". Courtney thought Nancy had heard about the rumour, so she confessed she never expected Sid to lie about sleeping with her.
Nancy was gobsmacked and immediately suspended Courtney from school, pending a full investigation. When she returned home, Courtney told Sid how serious the situation had become.
"I could lose my job, my career over this, all because you didn't want to look like a loser in front of your mates," she revealed to him.

Courtney explained to Sid that she'd been accused of a crime and could actually go to jail if people actually believed she was guilty.
After Sid promised she wouldn't actually get in trouble, Courtney snapped back: "You don't know that. You're just a stupid kid and I want nothing more to do with you!"
Sid was left reeling as the episode ended...
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
