Jorgie Porter has discussed her wedding plans with her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski.

The Hollyoaks star got engaged to her partner in December 2021 following a year of dating, but the Theresa McQueen actress admitted they still haven't put concrete plans in place for their nuptials just yet.

"We were just saying we've literally gone, 'the engagement party' and now we're like, 'okay let's just take it slow' because we've had a party so everybody knows to come to our wedding," she told OK! this week. "But we kind of want to go abroad and seek out some venues things like that."

She continued: "We like a lot of people but, again, not everybody turns up. So it's either the biggest one or the intimate one, or a beach one."

The couple's engagement came after they announced they had sadly miscarried quads last year. Discussing what happened with Fabulous magazine in November, Porter said that the experience "didn't make sense" to her.

"I'd not had any sign that things weren't OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant," she explained.

"When the consultant performed the scan then said 'You've miscarried', I was in total shock."

She added: "Men suffer during miscarriage too, and Ollie was so, so sad. By voicing his feelings, he got us through, because that encouraged me to speak about mine too."

The 34-year-old also discussed how she felt when she found out there were four embryos, as it increases the risk of premature birth, miscarriage and genetic abnormalities.

"It was so stressful. I wanted to believe everything was going to be OK, but I was scared because I knew the risks," she recalled. "At every scan, we'd have the same worry – do they have heartbeats? I was going through so many emotions."

She continued: "I was carrying four babies, but didn't know if they'd survive. Whenever I was around anyone who knew me well, I felt the need to go 'I need a hug'. It was like I needed people to carry me emotionally."

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
