There is a new horror on its way called Countdown, which has nothing to do with Dictionary Corner, two large and four small ones, accidental innuendos or anything else from every student/your nan's favourite Channel 4 quiz show.

Nope, this movie actually takes the concept of those rubbish 'death clock' websites everyone used to do in school, but adds in dashes of Final Destination and The Ring.

The plot focuses on an app that tells you when you are going to die, with some young attractive Americans discovering that they don't have long left at all to live.

While some seem to meet their maker in grisly accidents, others look like they are getting dragged away by some icky monster hands. Our protagonists have to break into the coding of the app to try and figure out how to stay one second ahead of death.

Good luck with that, guys.

The movie stars Elizabeth Lail who recently appeared in Netflix's You. Speaking of that show, the release date for the second season might have just been leaked by the streaming service.

Countdown the movie releases in cinemas on Friday, October 25. Countdown the TV show airs weekday afternoons on Channel 4, while there's a billion episodes of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown available on All4.
