It was a sexy and glitzy drama about the kind of hotel we all fancied visiting, but were probably glad we didn't, as it was far too busy looking after all kind of guests from Jude Law to Chris Moyles via Paula Abdul.

Amazingly, it's been nearly eight years since the Babylon closed its doors – and it still hurts that season 4 ended on a ruddy cliffhanger. But what has the main cast been up to since the BBC One show ended in 2009?

1. Dexter Fletcher (Tony)

Dexter played head concierge Tony for all four series, and since then, he has become known for his work as both an actor and director.

After roles in the likes of Bugsy Malone, The Long Good Friday and Press Gang, he rose to prominence in the '90s thanks to his appearance in Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He later had roles in shows including Band of Brothers, and a short stint hosting Channel 4's GamesMaster in what looked like an abandoned prison.

In recent years he has turned to directing, and was behind the camera for Sunshine on Leith and Eddie the Eagle.

2. Max Beesley (Charlie)

He is perhaps best known for the BBC drama, but he has appeared in various TV shows over the years including Bodies, an adaptation of The History of Tom Jones a Foundling, London Ink, Survivors, Mad Dogs, Suits, Ordinary Lies, Homeland, Empire, and currently, Sky1's Jamestown.

He is also an accomplished musician, and at one stage toured as Robbie Williams' drummer.

Danira was a recurring star in the first three series before being elevated as a main cast member in series four as maid-turned head housekeeper Tanja.

Born in Croatia, Danira moved to the UK in 1993, and eventually got a job as a waitress at the Royal National Theatre. It was here that she saw various plays and helped gain an acting scholarship. Since HB, she has mainly appeared in Croatian soaps, dramas and theatre projects.
