“IATSE is aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of The Pickup and have started an inquiry,” the union said in a statement to Deadline.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Dept. of Labor said: “OSHA has initiated an investigation into this incident. As the investigation is open, we are unable to provide preliminary or interim information at this time.”

The accident happened on Saturday, April 20 during an action sequence with the 2nd unit team, according to the studio. Since it occurred with the 2nd unit team, production on the film has not stopped and director Tim Story was not around this part of the set at the time of the accident, sources told Deadline.

“Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result,” said a spokesperson for the studio. “We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.”

Eddie Murphy leads the cast of the film from The Blackening‘s Tim Story, which also includes Pete Davidson, Keke Palmer, Andrew Dice Clay, Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Jack Kesy and Marshawn Lynch.

Plot details have been kept under wraps. The film is written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows. Producers include John Davis and John Fox for Davis Entertainment; Murphy and Charisse Hewitt-Webster for Eddie Murphy Productions; and Story for The Story Company. Executive producers are Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein, The Story Company’s Vicky Mara Story, Burrows, Ross Fanger, and Mider.
