Yahoo News Iron Fist season 2 reveals first look at the Defender
The second season of Netflix's Iron Fist was confirmed back in July, despite the critical slating the first received – and now we've got a first-look at the incoming series.
Finn Jones, who stars as Danny Rand, can be seen filming on the set of the Marvel show alongside Jessica Henwick, who plays Colleen Wing.
Iron Fist's second instalment will star returning cast Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup and Sacha Dhawan.
Previously, new cast member Simone Missick was confirmed for season two, followed by Star Trek: Into Darkness actress Alice Eve.
"We are very excited to have an actress of Alice's stature join the cast of Marvel's Iron Fist," said Marvel's head of television and series executive producer Jeph Loeb.
"Her exceptional talent brings an intrigue and danger to her character unlike anyone else."
The first-look photos of Danny Rand in action come after Finn Jones defended the show against criticism by saying that it is for "the fans".
"I think some of the reviews we saw were seeing the show through a very specific lens, and I think when the fans of the Marvel Netflix world and fans of the comic books view the show through the lens of just wanting to enjoy a superhero show, then they will really enjoy what they see," he said.
"I think it's a fantastic show which is really fun and I think it stands up there with the other Defenders' shows without a doubt."
Iron Fist airs on Netflix.
