Jacqueline Jossa is set to return to 'EastEnders'.

Earlier this month, the 30-year-old actress briefly reprised her role as Lauren Branning for the first time since leaving the soap in 2018, when her character returned for Dot Cotton's funeral, and Jacqueline is reportedly keen to make a permanent comeback.

It has been revealed that Jacqueline had a meeting with executive producer Chris Clenshaw about Lauren's return to Albert Square.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jacqueline hugely enjoyed reprising her role as Lauren for Dot’s funeral. 'EastEnders' was a huge part of her life and she absolutely loves her character.

“She had a conversation with 'EastEnders' boss Chris Clenshaw when she was back filming and made it clear she would be up for Lauren returning to Walford.

"Naturally it all depends on storylines and obviously Jacqueline would need to make it fit around her family life.

"But her two daughters are older now and going back on set made her realise just how much she missed 'EastEnders'.

“She hopes that something can be rustled up for Lauren and that she can return full time at some point in the future.”

Jacqueline - who has two children with her husband Dan Osbourne - recently revealed she was nervous about returning to set.

She said: "I was really nervous because, no matter what, it’s always such a big thing to be at 'EastEnders'. But when I got there, it didn’t feel like anything had changed. It just felt like being back at home. The two episodes are very emotional from top to bottom because there are so many layers."
