Yahoo News Jedward tell Jim Corr to ‘Runaway’ during anti-mask protest row: ‘Your sisters never needed you please leave the band’
Jedward have condemned The Corrs member Jim Corr after he attended an anti-mask protest in Dublin.
The singing duo, real names John and Edward Grimes, made a number of tweets criticising the “selfish” people protesting against wearing masks to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
“Dear Dublin Anti Mask Protest! Get the f*** inside you selfish low lives sincerely the rest of the country,” they wrote.
“When your core message is wrong you have no legs to stand on! There’s only one Right in this fight against Covid so don’t even try to question it! Change your attitude and get with the times.”
They accused Corr, who shared footage of himself attending the protest, of “idiotic behaviour”.
“Shut up you fools and grow a brain between you,” Corr responded.

Referencing a hit song by The Corrs, Jedward replied: “Why don’t you just go and ‘Runaway’ and FYI your sisters never needed you please leave the band.”
“G’wan leave the whole country ‘breathless’ from Covid because of your idiotic behaviour,” Jedward added, in another reference to a Corrs song.
They later tweeted: “Everyone has the right to protest but it’s not peaceful or making change when the consequences are more deaths! That’s not democracy it’s murder!”
Responding to people who compared the anti-mask protestors to people marching for Black Lives Matter, Jedward wrote: “BLM protests are for the greater good and have made world change!
“Protesting against a global pandemic solution and going out of your way to f*** us all over nobody has time for that!”
A number of celebrities have been urging their fans to continue taking precautions by wearing masks in public places, practising social distancing, and washing their hands regularly.
Jim Corr, who formed The Corrs with his sisters Sharon, Andrea and Caroline in 1990, has been using social media to go on several rants about mask legislation.

“Masks stop viruses in their tracks, in the same way underpants stop farts,” he tweeted.
A critic responded: “Ironically, Jim Corr is the only member of the band who would look better with a face mask.”
