Jennifer Aniston‘s Mum Dies Aged 79

Jennifer Aniston’s mum, Nancy Dow, has sadly passed away aged 79.

According to InTouch Weekly, Jennifer had visited her estranged mother two weeks ago (May 12) for the first time in almost five years.

Confirming the sad news in a statement to Us Weekly, Jennifer said: “It is with great sadness that my brother John [Melick] and I announce the passing of our mother Nancy Dow.

“She was 79 years old and passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends after enduring a long illness.

“We ask that our family’s privacy be respected as we grieve our loss.”

It’s thought that Nancy had been ill since 2011, when she suffered a stroke.

She was married to Jack Melick from 1956 to 1961. She was then married to Jennifer’s dad, John Aniston, from 1965 to 1980.

The ‘Pure’ actress wrote a tell-all memoir about Jennifer in 1999, ‘From Mother and Daughter to Friends’, which caused a feud between the two, leading to the former Friends actress excluding her mum from her wedding to Brad Pitt.
