Jorgie Porter announces engagement after heartbreak of miscarrying quads

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has announced that she's engaged to boyfriend (now fiancé) Ollie Piotrowski.

The couple first went Instagram official in October of last year, and are now planning to tie the knot, as revealed in a sweet Instagram post showing her flashing her stunning ring while he kissed her on the cheek.

"OMG," she wrote alongside the post, while stars like Chelsee Healey, Stephanie Waring, Anna Shaffer, Amelia Lily and Melody Thornton sent her messages of congratulations in the comments.

She tagged Piotrowski on the snap, who has a private Instagram account.

The engagement announcement comes just a few weeks after Porter shared the news that she had miscarried the quadruplets she was carrying earlier this year.

"It didn't make sense. I'd not had any sign that things weren't OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant. When the consultant performed the scan then said 'You've miscarried', I was in total shock," she said while speaking candidly to Fabulous magazine.

Porter also shared how her now husband-to-be reacted to the loss, saying: "Men suffer during miscarriage too, and Ollie was so, so sad. By voicing his feelings, he got us through, because that encouraged me to speak about mine too."

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
