Kaley Cuoco's The Flight Attendant confirmed to get season 2

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is ready for take off on more of The Flight Attendant.

One day after its season one finale premiered on HBO Max in the US, the streaming service confirmed that a second season will follow Cuoco's character Cassie Bowden on another adventure.

HBO programming president Casey Bloys announced on Friday (December 18): "We are delighted that the show has resonated so strongly with audiences and critics.

"We congratulate Kaley, [producer] Steve [Yockey], [producer] Greg [Berlanti] and [producer] Sarah [Schechter], along with the rest of the incredibly talented cast, executive producers and our partners at Warner Bros. Television on all the success of the first season. I look forward to seeing where Cassie will go next."

The dark comedy series casts Cuoco as a flight attendant who wakes up one morning in the wrong hotel next to a corpse. Throughout the first season, her character Cassie Bowden tries to figure out whether she's a killer.

Cuoco had dropped some hints earlier this week that she was keen to make more The Flight Attendant, which is based on Chris Bohjalian's novel of the same name.

"I hope so," she told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen. "It was meant to be a limited series for sure but we'd actually really like to do a season two."

The Flight Attendant premiered November 26 on HBO Max. No UK airdate has been announced so far.
