Kym Marsh walked down the aisle to marry her Army Major love Scott Ratcliff at Sandhurst.

They were married in front of 150 people at the Royal Memorial Chapel at Sandhurst in recent weeks.

Their children - Ms Marsh’s kids David, 26, Emilie, 24, and Polly, 10, as well as her grandson Teddy, two, and the Army Major’s daughter Renee, six - played a huge part in the big day.

Coronation Street star Alison King was a bridesmaid while Corrie actor Antony Cotton joined the groomsmen.

Among the guests, there were a number of famous faces including Coronation Street stars, Danny Foster from Hear’Say as well as Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara.

Celebrating the big day, there was a military parade at the wedding.

Ms Marsh, who said she will keep her name for her public work while taking her husband’s surname for her private life, admitted there were lots of tears on the wedding day.

“There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day,” the actress told OK! magazine.

“It really was the best day ever. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and more.”

The couple have no more plans to have any more children.

She added: “As a couple, we don’t want more children. I’m 45 and I can’t physically have any myself anyway due to a procedure I had done several years ago.. We considered adoption at one point but we’re just so busy.”

It was a whirlwind wedding after the lovebirds got engaged in July but they fast-tracked the wedding after Ms Marsh’s dad Dave was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.
