Large Gorse Fire Started 'Deliberately' in Devon, England

A large gorse fire in Devon, England, that burned from April 5 into the early hours of April 6 was started deliberately, officials said.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said emergency services responded to reports of a roadside hedge fire in Dartmoor on April 5 and discovered “a large gorse fire that was well alight.”

The fire was extinguished and roads reopened by 4 am on April 6, officials said. This footage was captured by John Baldry, a local photographer. Credit: John Baldry via Storyful
