  • Lee Radziwill's private funeral services will reportedly take place on the Upper East Side next week.

  • Expected mourners include a number of fashion designers in addition to Radziwill's family.

Lee Radziwiłł passed away on Friday, February 15 in New York City, but up until now, it was unclear what funeral plans were in the works to celebrate her life. This evening, Page Six is reporting that private services will take place on Monday at an Upper East Side church.

"It’s a funeral service, not a memorial. They won’t be doing anything else as she was so private and elegant," a friend of Radziwill's told the paper. The publication also notes that expected guests at the ceremony include Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, and Sofia Coppola in addition to Lee's daughter, Tina, and other family and friends.

In the days following Raziwill's death, tributes have poured out, honoring the memory of the actress, style icon, and one-time American princess.

Notably, Carole Radziwill, who was married to Lee's only son Anthony until his death in 1999, shared a photo on Instagram in remembrance of her late mother-in-law, along with the caption: "She was loved. ❤️ Rest in Peace, Lee."

Other stories this week have reflected on Lee's relationship with her sister, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, with some suggesting the two women were in conflict. Understandably, Radziwill's family has reportedly been "upset" by the abundance of coverage this so-called rivalry has received.

"She talked about her sister very fondly, especially towards the end," a source told Page Six. "People like to make it a big rivalry. They could be competitive, like all siblings can be. But this went too far for the liking of her family."

The quote is quite similar to one Radziwill herself gave to People in 1976.

"It’s just the most ludicrous talk in the world that we’re rivals," she said of her sister. "We’re exceptionally close and always have been. We’re together very often. In fact, endlessly."
